Rhubarb

So as some simple steps to grow and cook your rhubarb!

It is important which plant you grow if you are looking for natural red color, the Canadian red is vibrant in color and when cooked will remain red.

This is an easy plant to grow in pots or in a small patch in the garden even as flowers, basically set and forget, make sure you feed twice a year for a good growth.

Pick about 10 storks, cut off the leaf as you do not want to eat this, its poisonous.

Wash and cut your storks into small portions, add to a baking dish or fry pan, with:

1 cup of coconut sugar

(add more or reduce depending on how sweet you like it)

1/2 cup of water, 1/2 the juice of a lemon

2 cloves and 1 cinnamon stick

Place on the heat for 10 minutes or until cooked, making sure it does not burn stiring every minute.

Place into a bowl and serve.

Add to your muesli, eat with ice-cream or bake a rhubarb and apple pie!
